In meiner Arbeit setze ich mich mit Themen wie Klimakrise, Krieg, Migration und sozialen Bewegungen auseinander. Es sind vor allem die Graubereiche, die mich neugierig machen. Dabei ist mir wichtig, stereotype Darstellungen zu hinterfragen und individuelle Erfahrungen von Protagonist:innen bewusst zu kontextualisieren. Stetig vergegenwärtige ich mir auch meine eigene Rolle und blicke kritisch auf Machtstrukturen, in denen ich mich bewege. Neben unabhängigen Projekten arbeite ich als freie Reporterin, Fotografin und investigative Journalistin; gerne draußen und am liebsten gemeinsam.
Journalismus bedeutet für mich hinschauen. Ergründen. Sich einfühlen, aufzeigen und vermitteln - und dabei keine Komplexitäten scheuen.

My work covers topics such as the climate crisis, war, migration and social movements. It is the grey areas that make me curious. It is important to me to challenge stereotypes and consciously contextualise the individual experiences of the protagonists. I am also constantly aware of my own role and take a critical look at the power structures in which I operate. In addition to my own projects, I work as a freelance reporter, photographer and investigative journalist. I like to work in the field, ideally in collaboration with others.
For me, being a journalist is about seeing. Investigating. Empathising, pointing out and communicating - without shying away from complex issues.
